We love Nauvoo

So we got to go be participants in the Nauvoo Pageant the last two weeks! It was an amazing experience! Not easy in the least but oh so very worth it. Here are some pictures in no order at all. Here is Ava and Jonah at the Relief Society gardens behind the Nauvoo Visitor Center.




















When we first arrived in Nauvoo we went straight to the temple. Here is a picture I took right before Jonah fell down the stairs. Good thing for his angels and Daddy who caught him by one arm.

The kids loved doing the Frontier Country Fair which went on an hour and a half before the Pageant started. There was soo much to do there. We were in charge of the gunny sack races but there was kids games and crafts, stilts, the highland fling, hand carts,stick pull, bag pipes, the Nauvoo band, the dance floor with another band, the puppet show, etc. It was super hot and humid but we loved participating in the fair and meeting a lot of great people who came to see the show.















Ava and Daryl one night after the show. If we look wet in these pictures it is because we were soaking from the humidity pretty much constantly and especially with our awesome costumes on. It was so great!

The Eliza R. Snow district that we were in, meeting in the grove mid-morning between a stage rehearsal. We seriously felt like we were among the cream of the crop regarding these people we got to meet. They were so amazing and full of love. We truly got a taste of what it feels like to live and love in Zion.

We loved having her be a temporary part of our little family and she was a big help with the kids too. Also my parents were there as part of the family support team and there was no way we could of done it without them. We are eternally indebted to them! We had such an awesome experience in Nauvoo and just feel very blessed that we got to be there.
