Smith Winter Olympics 2014

My mom is an amazing babysitter. She had the kids; do a relay to carry the torch through the house, then they made their countries flags and mascots and finally the games began. They will be doing all the different events as she keeps babysitting them over the next few weeks (I have a morning class at ISU). And honestly their other grandma comes up with super fun projects for them too when she tends them. We sure are blessed. Now we'll need to be sure to watch the real Olympics with the kids!

Grateful

Daryl took the kids on a "camping night walk" around our neighborhood a few nights ago. I stayed home because the baby was already asleep. Audra was sooo excited to go. She told me all about what they were doing and how when Aliya got older like her, she could go too. The house was very quiet as they shut the door. I stood at the window and watched them walk down the driveway and into the night, Audra with an obvious skip in her walk, fireflies dancing around them.  And as I watched I just felt so grateful for them. I am not without trials and hardships in life, but man o man I am sure extremely blessed. And I am grateful that through Christ's Atonement life is colorful and beautiful and full of joy and so worth it.

Ava Lou

Ava really wanted to donate her hair to locks of love. Some little girl will be really lucky to have Ava's beautiful hair and I'm so proud of my thoughtful and kind Ava Lou.
